Daniels, 50, is a co-founder and principal of Prairie Capital, a private equity firm focused on the lower-end of the middle market. Since 1997, Prairie Capital has invested a total of $475 million in 70 transactions. He serves on the board of directors of Chicago Deferred Exchange Company, Estes Cox Corporation, Navman Wireless, R3 Education and a number of other companies.
Prior to founding Prairie Capital, Daniels was a Senior Vice President at American National Bank (now JP Morgan Chase), where he held positions in lending and investments, including management of the financial services group.
Daniels has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wabash College, a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago and a Master of Science in Computer Science, also from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the Visiting Committee of the Physical Science Department of the University of Chicago, and on the Board of Directors of WBEZ - Chicago Public Radio.
Stockholders also re-elected the following members of the Board of Directors: Bruce W. Taylor, Mark A. Hoppe, Ronald L. Bliwas, Ronald D. Emanuel, M. Hill Hammock, Michael H. Moskow, Louise O'Sullivan, Melvin E. Pearl, Shepherd G. Pryor IV, Harrison I. Steans, Jennifer W. Steans, Jeffrey W. Taylor and Richard W. Tinberg. The directors will hold office until the 2010 Annual Meeting of Stockholders or until their successors are elected and qualified.
