Pehrson has been serving as Managing Director and Chief Lending Officer in the Commercial Banking division. He will continue those responsibilities in his new role in addition to overseeing the delivery of private banking and wealth management services in the region. With more than 30 years in banking, Pehrson joined The PrivateBank in 2007 from LaSalle Bank, where he most recently served as group senior vice president in the Troy office.

Pehrson replaces Patrick M. McQueen, who will remain with the company in an advisory role. McQueen joined The PrivateBank in 1999 and was named CEO in 2008.

"Dan is a great leader who knows the Michigan market well and will help The PrivateBank advance its vision to be the bank of choice for middle market companies as well as the business owners, executives and entrepreneurs who value our relationship-based approach," said Bruce Hague, President, National Commercial Banking for The PrivateBank.

"Additionally, we are fortunate to have Pat's ongoing involvement in growing our company," Hague continued. "We are grateful to Pat for his leadership over the last 10 years and the contributions he's made in serving our Michigan clients."

Pehrson earned a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware. He serves on the boards of the Wayne County Sheriff's Education Fund and Michigan Opera Theatre.
