ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AvalonBay Communities, Inc. (NYSE:AVB - News) announced today that its 2009 Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 21, at 9:00 AM Eastern Time. Stockholders of record of the Company’s Common Stock as of the close of business on March 6, 2009 are entitled to vote at the Annual Meeting.
